Marine science has its roots on the Cape through the oldest marine research institution in the nation, the Marine Biological Laboratory (MBL) at Woods Hole. A cluster of hardware and software entrepreneurs have called Cape Cod home for decades, and these are constantly building, selling & repeating the cycle. New high-speed broadband capacity via OpenCape, STEM education programs, a Blue Economy and an active Cape Tech Council are building blocks for the Cape’s future.
