A golfer's dream, Cape Cod's 27 public, daily-fee golf courses and 15 private facilities run the gamut of skill levels, with courses that are pristine, scenic, challenging and fun. Many don’t know that the Cape has its own "Fields of Dreams." The region boasts the premier NCAA-sanctioned summer baseball league in the country - the Cape Cod Baseball League - with 276 alumni now performing in the major leagues. Cape Cod also hosts the nation’s largest athletic conference, the Eastern College Athletic Conference and a professional soccer team - the Cape Cod Crusaders - past winners of the United Soccer League’s PDL crown.
The Cape Cod sports market has grown over the past few years, with the destination playing host to national events such as the NCAA Division III Baseball, The American Bando, Nations Cup, International Theater on Ice, U.S. Figure Skating Nationals and the most recent 2015 National Theatre on Ice Championship, the MA Squirt Tournament, The Falmouth Road Race, The Ragnar Relay Races, The Hyannis Marathon, Cape Cod Challenge Cup & New England Soccer Memorial Day Tournaments, Women's Hockey East, Colgate/Army Hockey Game, Cape Cod Classic other events include the Cape Cod Baseball League, New England Endurance Events, the Cape Cod Senior Softball Classic and the famous Lobster Pot Hockey Tournament.

Hyannis Youth & Community Center (“HYCC”) is owned by the Town of Barnstable and operated by the Barnstable Recreation Division. Business offices are located inside the building where you can go to register for seasonal programs, purchase beach parking permits from May to August and participate in drop-in programs that are open to the general public, including year-round public ice skating with skate rentals available in most sizes; an indoor walking track; after school and vacation programs; and open gym times for all groups, among many other events and programs. Indoor amenities include twin NHL size ice skating rinks, a 12,500 sq ft wood floor gymnasium, locker rooms, multiple function rooms and catering. Outdoors there is a free skateboarding park open during good weather Tuesdays-Sundays from April through November, outdoor basketball courts and the Lorusso Field of Dreams baseball complex featuring “Little Fenway”. The HYCC is available for daily rentals or long-term contract.
