Coast Guard Heritage Museum

    The Coast Guard Heritage Museum, located in the United States Customs House in Barnstable Village, has been open since 2005. The museum features the history and origins of the Coast Guard, including the Revenue Cutter Service (USRCS), the Unites States Life Saving Service (USLSS) and the United States Lighthouse Service (USLHS). Exhibits include Breeches Buoy rescue equipment, Lighthouses and Lightships, Coast Guard at War, Coast Guard vessels and Coast Guard Aviation. Over 100 vessel and aircraft models are on display. The CGHM is open Thursdays, Fridays and Saturday from 10 AM to 3 PM until the end of October.
