This summer, Cape Cod will once again transform into a haven of color and creativity as the 11th Annual Cape Cod Hydrangea Festival returns from July 11 through July 20, 2025! This highly anticipated summer garden celebration showcases the region’s signature bloom—the beloved hydrangea—through an expansive lineup of garden tours, workshops, art events, and expert talks.

From Falmouth to Provincetown, garden enthusiasts, artists, and curious visitors alike are invited to discover the Cape’s natural beauty while supporting local nonprofits. Each private garden tour benefits a different local charitable organization, making every visit both beautiful and meaningful. Here's a mini-guide to the festival highlights.

Garden Tours
More than 100 private gardens will open to the public on select days throughout the festival. Each garden is unique and lovingly maintained by homeowners who share their passion for plants and design.
Hours: 10 AM – 4 PM on designated days | Admission: $5 per person per garden
Plein air artists will be painting live in select gardens throughout the festival.

Kickoff Party at Hyannis Country Garden
Thursday, July 10 | 6:00 – 7:30 PM
Join festival organizers, local nonprofits, and gardening enthusiasts for a festive opening celebration. The evening features a special talk by Meghan McPhee Webb, Director of Horticulture at Outerland.

Hydrangea Festival at Heritage Museums & Gardens

Visitors can explore the recently expanded North American Hydrangea Test Garden and the Cape Cod Hydrangea Society’s renowned Display Garden.
