Paul headshotIf you haven’t noticed, this isn’t your grandpa’s Chamber of Commerce.

The Cape Cod Chamber is moving forward—with purpose, with partnerships, and with a renewed sense of what our region can accomplish when we work together. Over the past year, we’ve made bold moves to adapt, evolve, and lead—because Cape Cod isn’t standing still, and neither are we.

One of the most significant developments has been the formation of the Cape and Islands Bridge Coalition—a 50-organization alliance that ensures our community has a seat at the table and a voice in the room as the replacement of the Cape Cod Bridges moves from concept to concrete. These bridges are not just transportation infrastructure—they are lifelines for our residents, visitors, workforce, and economy. With this coalition, we are committed to staying engaged every step of the way.

Another historic step: our merger with the Falmouth Chamber of Commerce. This is more than just organizational alignment—it’s a partnership built on the belief that we are stronger together. By combining resources while maintaining local focus, we’re better positioned to serve our members, amplify regional priorities, and support a broader business community with enhanced services and deeper roots.

We’re also working hard to secure the future of our biggest economic driver: tourism. The creation of a Tourism Destination Marketing District (TDMD) is now within reach. This initiative would provide a sustainable funding source to support Cape Cod’s $2.7 billion travel and tourism industry, which supports more than 14,000 local jobs and generates nearly $250 million in tax revenue—$80 million of that raised right here by our 15 towns. This isn’t just about marketing—it’s about economic stability, year-round opportunity, and smart investment in our future.

Looking further ahead, we’re exploring the development of a sports facility and convention center that will serve both our year-round population and off-Cape visitors. The potential here is enormous: filling hotel rooms in May, November, and throughout the shoulder season, while also creating spaces that local residents and families can use and enjoy year-round.

We’re also proud to share that the Cape Cod Climate Change Collaborative is now operating under the wing of the Chamber. This integration will amplify critical work on coastal resilience, grid readiness, and the growing crisis around homeowners insurance. These issues are no longer abstract—they are impacting our communities today, and the Chamber is ready to help lead the regional response.

Cape Cod is changing—and so is your Chamber. We’re not just reacting to the future, we’re shaping it. Our mission remains rooted in regional prosperity, sustainable growth, and strong communities. But our approach is bolder, more collaborative, and laser-focused on solutions.

This ain’t your grandpa’s Chamber. And that’s a good thing.
