As part of our public policy and advocacy work, the Cape Cod Chamber looks to advance initiatives that support housing for varied lifestyles and life stages, support temporary housing solutions for seasonal workers, and support zoning reform that enables smart growth and housing stock diversity.

This fall, towns across the Cape will host special town meetings to address and approve their housing-related initiatives. Several towns are working on zoning reform to address both seasonal and year-round housing. Additionally, many are seeking funding for housing-affordability needs as well as proposing initiatives toward wastewater and infrastructure, both of which directly impact housing.
