Ocean Edge Resort & Golf Club announces a significant expansion of wellness offerings, positioning itself as the principal destination for holistic health and rejuvenation on Cape Cod. The focal point of this new wellness chapter centers around the introduction of year-round wellness retreats, helmed by Liza Bertini, an expert in the wellness space who was recently appointed as Retreat Sales Manager for the award-winning resort. Liza comes to Ocean Edge Resort with a wealth of knowledge in her field, having served as Director of Kripalu Schools at Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health in the Berkshires. The retreats are complemented by newly built wellness facilities, increased accommodation options, expanded health-conscious dining and more.
New Year-Round Wellness Retreats & Infrared Studio
The AAA Four Diamond resort is stretching beyond traditional yoga mats and fitness classes to expand its wellness offerings with unrivaled wellness retreats, available year-round. A rotating schedule of pre-set retreats will be available for travelers to join over select dates, along with the coveted option of completely customizable and private retreats for leisure and corporate groups up to 400 in size. The retreats vary in capacity and duration and can be tailored to various wellness interests, ranging from traditional yoga and meditation retreats to including cold plunges and exploring health issues such as bone health, nutrition, grief, and sober-curious programming. Ideal for introspection, these programs provide the convenience of a self-contained setting, complete with a new retreat studio space, multiple dining options, and luxurious accommodations.
Guests will experience this verdurous programming set against the resort’s serene 429 acres, inclusive of 21,000 square feet of indoor meeting space. Outdoor venue highlights for physical activities and gatherings include The Mansion’s expansive Front Lawn and private beach, while the surplus of indoor space for presentations and seminars with luminary speakers and indoor physical activities range from the historic Carriage House and multiple breakout rooms to the largest ballroom on Cape Cod.
Retreat attendees will also have access to the resort’s unparalleled catalog of on-site amenities, including courts for tennis and pickleball, seasonal kayaking and paddleboarding at Blueberry Pond, an 18-hole Nicklaus Design golf course, six swimming pools (two indoors,) and bicycle rentals with direct access to the 25-mile Cape Cod Rail Trail and neighboring Nickerson State Park. Guests of The Mansion can also take advantage of the resort’s complimentary weekly wellness classes, which include a rotating schedule of mat Pilates, restorative yoga, hot vinyasa and more, as well as The Beach House Spa which offers an abundance of restorative facial and body treatments. Retreat programs will have the option to include a spa credit for attendees.
The expansion of Ocean Edge’s wellness program also entails a newly constructed 1,000-square-foot infrared retreat studio at The Mansion, the property’s landmark estate. This extends optional infrared heat for hot Pilates and hot yoga, which has been shown to improve circulation and enhance flexibility. The Retreat Studio is available for retreat bookings at Ocean Edge and will also offer a full range of events, from acupuncture happy hours to breathing and movement classes. This space can accommodate retreats for group sizes up to 30.
“We’ve been testing wellness programming with our guests over the past year,“ said Owner Suzanne Corcoran. “The overwhelmingly positive response inspired a full expansion of our wellness offerings.”
