In 1958, John & Cassandra Baylis opened a small antique shop in an old Cape three quarter house facing the salt marsh on Rock Harbor Road in Orleans. There the name of Windsong was born to honor the haunting harmonies of the Cape wind as it whistled across the marsh and sang under the eaves of the 19th century home.
In 1961, John & Cassandra moved Windsong Antiques to the carriage barn on the grounds of a large 18th century captain’s house on Bank Street in Harwich.
Family owned and operated since 1975, Jewelcraft has provided their customers with the highest quality of fine jewelry with a collection of gold, silver, diamonds and gemstones from all over the world. Located on historic Main Street in Hyannis we carry the largest selection of Cape Cod jewelry including pieces specifically unique to our collection.
Gary Framson, owner and on site master jeweler, along with his staff create custom pieces for their diverse clientele. Repairs, remounts of diamonds and colored gemstones and engraving are an everyday practice.
The Flying Pig Pottery sells one of a kind functional stoneware. Each piece is wheel thrown white high fired clay, decorated using sgraffito technique. Sgraffito is the art of carving through a colored slip to the contrasting clay body beneath. The Flying Pig Pottery's signature work consists of a white clay body decorated in dark blue slip which is then dipped in a clear glaze. A new line has been introduced combining a warm brown glaze with green highlights over a blue slip.
