Doug Amidon, a professional woodcarver, creates the most unique & distinctive items using skills honed over 43 years. Doug graduated from Tufts University with a BA in Fine Arts in 1966 and a masters of Education in 1967. After teaching school in Bourne & Wareham, Doug left teaching to concentrate on carving. Having been influenced by so many people, Doug has assisted many others in recognizing and developing their potential with his chosen profession.
The Cahoon Museum of American Art is Cape Cod’s most unique art museum, bringing historic and contemporary art to life in unexpected and innovative ways. Located in Cotuit MA, the Cahoon presents compelling rotating art exhibitions and one-of-a-kind programs. Housed in an authentic 1782 homestead with a modern gallery addition, the museum’s holdings include a significant collection of American art, including the decorative art and paintings of renown Cape Cod folk artists Ralph and Martha Cahoon, who lived and worked in the building for over 40 years.

Since 1980, Cellar Leather has offered quality Cape Cod Leather Belts, Buckles and Fine Leather Goods. Each leather belt is bench crafted and handmade for you by New England Leathersmith Jeff Taylor. In the summer of 1975 after graduating at Cortland State, Jeff started doing leather work out of his basement doing craft fairs and opened a small shop in downtown Cortland. Jeff moved to Cape Cod and opened Cellar Leather in downtown Hyannis in January of 1980.
The Cape Cod Museum of Arts' mission is to collect, conserve, study, interpret and exhibit works by outstanding artists associated with Cape Cod and the Islands. Through its programs, the museum seeks to preserve the artistic heritage of the area and to foster artistic and cultural growth within the individual and the community.
The Arts Foundation of Cape Cod is the regional arts agency for Barnstable County, and has been the Voice of the Arts on Cape Cod since 1988. The AFCC strengthens, supports, and promotes Cape Cod's arts and culture community through grants, professional development, training, collaborative marketing, and advocacy.
