The 1,200-acre Wellfleet Bay Wildlife Sanctuary provides peace and unmatched beauty on the hillsides and shoreline overlooking Wellfleet Harbor; it features five miles of trails—including an all-persons accessible trail—traversing eight different habitats representing the diversity of Cape Cod, as well as an award-winning green nature center with numerous exhibits and aquariums. Wellfleet Bay offers natural history and conservation science education programs for children and adults, and summer day camp and school vacation camps for children. Wellfleet Bay serves Lower and Outer Cape communities from Brewster and Harwich to Provincetown.

The Nature Center is open Tuesday through Sunday, 8:30 am – 5:00 pm (and daily from Memorial Day to Columbus Day). The trails are open daily year-round from 8 am – dusk (8 pm in the summer). Admission to the Sanctuary is free for members of Mass Audubon. For nonmembers, admission is $5 for Adults, $3 for Children (2-12), and $3 for Seniors (65+).
