Pleasant Bay Community Boating, Inc is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to the development of educational and recreational opportunities in the Pleasant Bay Area of Cape Cod with primary emphasis on teaching sailing to youths 8 to 16. Four towns; Chatham, Harwich, Orleans, and Brewster share the shoreline of the Bay.
Pleasant Bay Community Boating began in 2002 as a program vision of the Chatham Marconi Maritime (History and Science) Center (CMMC). In 2003, PBCB became a separate organization and turned vision into action with six Daysailers and two 12 foot motorized Boston Whalers for use by instructors.
Chatham Marconi Maritime Center is located at the former Marconi/RCA Wireless Station in Chathamport, and is opened to the public on a seasonal basis. If you are visiting Cape Cod, CMMC is a "must see" destination. For more information visit the CMMC website at: www.chathammarconi.org.
