Chef Sigmund's Chowder Co.

  • Details
Chef Sigumund (aka Zygmunt Karolczak) started making his award winning chowder in the 1980's at his Marlin Restaurant before opening Chef Sigmund's Chowder: a smaller venue focused on his famous chowder and light lunches. His son Jan Karolczak took over the operation in the 1990's and continued the family tradition with several successful venues around the Cape before closing the business in the late 2000s. Zygmunt passed away in 2017 at the ripe old age of 95; inspiring Jan to reopen Chef Sigmunds and re-introduce our fantastic chowder to the Cape; albeit in a more focused form factor - frozen or cold base for home preparation! We are excited to open again and welcome back our many friends who have been waiting so long for our return!
