Cape Cod Center for Sustainability

  • Details
For 25 years, The Cape Cod Center for Sustainability has been dedicated to measuring and enhancing a region’s “quality of life”. These efforts focused on our environment, community and economy in an effort to identify ways to sustain and build upon attributes of a region that define its promise. Since our inception, the concept of sustainability has evolved – becoming more specific about how society operates in a world challenged by human actions, such as those affecting the climate, resource limitations and societal inequalities. Sustainability is not limited to the quality of life of a region. It’s global. Its consequences encompass a vast array of ideas and strategies and accountability that help us manage our global resources better. Sustainability defines our efforts to realign our relationship to the environment so that we can thrive more than merely survive.
