A Little Inn on Pleasant Bay

  • Details
View our new video: Your B & B between Chatham and Orleans: Lodging with a European Touch. You have found the perfect Bed and Breakfast for your visit to the Cape! Our Inn is very conveniently located in the middle between the villages of Chatham and Orleans and overlooks the enchanting Pleasant Bay. From here you can explore the Cape without having to change your B & B: you unpack and pack only once. The main house of the Inn has a history dating back to 1798. The Cape Cod Times described the property as a possible part of the "Underground Railroad." A trap door in the foyer leads to a small space that might have been used as a hiding place during that time. The Inn has a total of 9 guest bedrooms, all with private bathrooms and all are air-conditioned. Most bedrooms have bay views, while the others enjoy the view of our beautiful gardens. A European Continental Breakfast is served on the patio overlooking the Bay or on our garden patio. The Inn can boast of its commanding view of Pleasant Bay, and many of the rooms let the guests enjoy this breathtaking sight. Early risers can watch the sunrise appear over the Bay, a truly colorful experience. The moon rise being reflected on the Bay can be almost as spectacular. We also have our own small sandy/pebbly beach and a dock for swimming, fishing and boating (moorings are available). The Bay definitely lives up to its name: Pleasant Bay, ideal for sailing, kayaking, swimming or strolling along the water when the tide is out. If you come in the fall, you can witness the harvest of the cranberries on the bog right next door to the Inn.
