(508) 888-3300 x175

Thursday, May 17: 10:30-11:30 am and 1:30-2:30pm

This session is geared towards gardeners who wish to learn more about HMG’s successful practices associated with the very important garden chores of planting and replanting. While the focus of this workshop is hydrangeas, the planting techniques and soil creation and amendment procedures are largely universal to most of the woody ornamentals you would plant on the Cape. Mal will also demonstrate his Pot-N-Pot and Bag-N-Pot techniques for growing the ‘tender’ H.macrophylla cultivars. Mulching best practices, fertilizing, and hydrangea bloom color control will also be discussed. Advance registration is recommended as space is limited and these programs often sell out!
