Soo Sunny Park: Boundary Conditions

The artist Soo Sunny Park is known for creating monumental, immersive installations that transform their environments into realms of moving light, reflection, and shadow. In Boundary Conditions, she weaves together a metal grid with iridescent Plexiglas that transmits, reflects, and refracts daylight to create an otherworldly installation. Changing light conditions reveal different facets of the sculpture, so that during different times of day it shifts from translucent and clear to colorful and prismatic. The installation encompasses the Museum’s entire first floor gallery creating an awe-inspiring experience. Soo Sunny Park, a professor of studio art at Dartmouth College, holds an MFA from Cranbrook Academy of Art and has created celebrated installations at Museums nationally and internationally.
