    The Cape Cod Museum of Natural History presents Return to Nature & Science during February School Vacation, February 18 ~ February 26, 2023. Museum hours are 10am-3pm.
     Saturday, February 18 • 9:30am • The Museum reopens for the 2023 season with Amazing Animal Ambassadors!

    Join Cape Cod captive wildlife care expert Bethany Jakubson who will bring some of her favorite members of the natural world including an assortment of smaller reptiles and insects. Fun for the whole family!

    Sunday, February 19 • 10:15am-2:15pm ~ Mixology: Chemistry for Kids with Colette LeGendre  *Free with Museum Admission

    Join Colette and get messy with science! Explosions of experiments, hands-on activities, and demonstrations that encourage kids to ask questions that pique their interest by investigating the mysteries of chemistry. Timed entry please call for reservations 508-896-3867, x 133. Walk-ins welcome if space is available.

    Meet our Aquarium residents up close, ask questions of our Aquarists, and learn all about the care and feeding of our fascinating Aquarium critters!

     Tuesday, February 21 • 11am-3pm• The Brewster Chamber of Commerce presents ECO EXPO! *Free with Museum Admission
    A mini-trade show featuring Brewster Chamber members who focus on ecological as well as economic sustainability!

     Tuesday, February 21 • 11am-2pm • Environmental Conservation Construction with artist Marje Miller  *Free with Museum Admission

    Come create bird protection bracelets, build a bee or bug hotel, or make a conservation chain of things YOU can do to help our environment. This is a drop-in program. Appropriate for ages 4 and up. 


    Wednesday, February 22 • 10:45am-1:45pm • The Inflatable Humpback Whale • Free with Museum Admission
    Learn all about the magnificent 44-foot Humpback Whale, their behavior, and habits from the inside out!  Our CCMNH naturalist, Mike Harnett, will present a 20-minute program and participants will have an opportunity to see this amazing whale from the inside out! An extraordinary journey!  Due to the educational level and content, this exhibit is restricted to ages 5 and up.     Walk through the amazing Gray Whale and find out why it is extinct in the in the Atlantic and alive and well in the Pacific. An extraordinary journey!.
    Friday, February 24 • 11:30am• Nature Screen presents March of the Penguins • Free with Museum Admission
    March of the Penguins tells the story of one year in the life of a flock focusing on one couple in particular as the penguins trek across the Antarctic on an annual journey that invokes just about every major life experience: from birth to death, from dating to mating, from comedy to tragedy, and from love to fighting for survival. This film runs 80 minutes and is Rated G.
