The Pollinator Pathway Cape Cod is both public and private pesticide-free corridors of native plants that provide nutrition and habitat for pollinating insects and birds. Even the smallest green spaces, like flower boxes, patio pots and curb strips, can be part of a pathway. There are over 300 private gardens registered on the map. While you are in the towns of Harwich, Orleans and Sandwich there will be public gardens that are on the tour and will have docents at the gardens to talk to you about how to build a pollinator friendly garden.

Oak Crest Cove is a sunny, highly visible garden is at 34 Quaker Meetinghouse near Peter's Pond, between the parking lot and the Town Recreation Offices.   The Sandwich Garden Club carefully researched Cape Cod native plants that would thrive in this location and support many native pollinators by providing host plants for their benefit and a long season of interest to all who visit.
