Garden #1 Strictly Hydrangeas - West Yarmouth
Tip Talk Topic: “Pot-N-Pot” container gardening demonstration will be held at 11:00am and 2:00pm each day.
Strictly Hydrangeas!!! This unusual and surprisingly expansive garden encompasses two adjacent very hydrangea-centric properties. Located in pretty Mill Pond Village, this garden has continued to evolve since it was first showcased in 2016. Under Linda’s watchful care, this park-like setting now boasts 350 hydrangea cultivars in various settings throughout both her yard and that of her next-door neighbors (much to their delight). There are garden beds flanking both homes, along the backyard stockade fence, in several island beds, a rather large kidney shaped berm, and a secret garden. In addition to in-ground plantings, there are 25 containers adorning the porches and patio planted with hydrangeas and perennials using the ‘Pot-n-Pot’ method. In addition to the dominant hydrangeas there are many companion evergreen shrubs, perennials, and exquisite pieces of garden art to catch your eye as you leisurely tour this hydrangea lover’s dream come true. Dates: Monday, July 11 and Wednesday, July 13, 2022

Garden #2 The Fornari Garden at Poison Ivy Acres - Sandwich
Visit this 2.5-acre property on Lawrence Pond, gardened by Dan and C.L. Fornari. Along the road see the "dry garden" of drought-tolerant plants. Next is a cutting garden cutting garden just above the large vegetable beds. In addition to the in-ground vegetables, you will see Smart Pots planted with potatoes and winter squash. Peak into the solar-heated seed-starting shed where the Fornari's start their basil, tomatoes, and annuals. Discover the assortment of annuals and perennials in the flower gardens that surround the house. Stop under the shade of the grape arbor where many of the Fornari's houseplants are at "summer camp." See the herbs that are grown just out the kitchen door and take enough flower photos to fill your Instagram feed for months.
