Garden #1 The Bowker Horticultural Society -  E. Sandwich
Tip Talk Topic: Reclaiming your yard from invasive plants and enhancing your marriage through vegetable gardening. Mary and Roger Bowker, both Master Gardeners, purchased their historic former dairy farm in 2001 and have spent the last 19 years rescuing 15 acres from invasive plants. On four acres, they have created garden rooms around a gazebo and pergola dotted with hydrangeas and statuary. There is a formal herb garden, and orchard and serene landscapes. They enjoy their extensive vegetable patch where he, an avowed carnivore and she, and enthusiastic aficionado of all things green and edible, happily work side by side, hoes in hand, experimenting with fruits and vegetables.

Garden #2  Pat’s Whimsical Literary Gardens - Centerville
Tip Talk Topic: Planning out your gardens.
This former educator/Master Gardener’s gardens feature a variety of pathways and arches that lead to numerous beds of perennials, annuals, as well as 25 hydrangeas. There are shade gardens, lilies, rose and lavender beds all punctuating the air with fragrance and color attracting a variety of pollinators. Ladies mantle, cosmos, catmint, astilbe, daisies, dahlias, hostas, lambs’ ears, beebalm, peonies, salvias, cardinal flowers, black eyed Susan’s, irises, Joe Pye weed, and more, overflow the lush peaceful landscape. Unique birdhouses, feeders, birdbaths, with sitting areas and memorial benches, whimsical fairy tale / animal statues and glass globes that reflect natures beauties. A lower garden accented by three arches contains raised beds of organic vegetables and herbs growing next to a hillside of native plants..several kinds of asters, milkweed, goldenrod and more. There are many pastel rose of Sharon trees, arborvitae, two apple trees and feature a native young tulip tree.
