Welcome to 100 Moorland Road Gardens, a quintessential Cape Cod property set on a bluff overlooking Vineyard Sound in Falmouth.  While the garden plantings are only one to three years old due to a recent home renovation, you will be captivated and inspired by the variety of plantings, areas of interest, and the stunning ocean views of the sound. The owner has built over 250 feet of dry stone walls on the property which provide various aesthetic and functional purposes.  This is a place where human craftsmanship and natural beauty come together in perfect harmony allowing visitors to immerse themselves in its tranquility and serenity.

Diane & Brian McGurk bought this historic home in the East Orleans village in 2015. They saw the potential for restoring the old garden beds and adding new more ecofriendly beds. One goal was to eliminate some lawn and develop an environment friendly to nature.  The property has amazing trees-alder, weeping beech, Kousa dogwood and a wonderful Norway Fir that provide a great backdrop for a variety of perennial and pollinator gardens. In addition, the gardens have over 50 hydrangeas that were restored by Linda Coven of Strictly Hydrangeas.  Raised bed vegetable gardens were added in 2022.  The varied gardens/trees offer a place to sit and enjoy nature in an in-town setting! The proceeds from this garden tour will benefit the Master Gardener Association of Cape Cod . Admission is $5 per garden tour. RAIN or SHINE.
