Joe Mongelli & the Cape Jazz Crew: Four Musicians, Unlimited Possibilities

Saturday, July 29, at 7:30pm. The Crew featuring Joe Mongelli (trumpet, flugelhorn, cornet), Scott Avidon (sax, flute, clarinet), Mark Borgmann (keyboard), and Michael Ryle (acoustic and electric bass) explores all the combinations possible with 4 players and 10 instruments. This intimate concert features American Song Book classics, jazz standards, and some classical cross over pieces. Among the styles you’ll hear are West Coast cool, moving ballads, ‘60s soul jazz, Dixieland, and driving bop- all arranged for this performance. Come enjoy inspired improvisation, unique arrangements of classic tunes, plus a few surprises, all in a creative format featuring solos, duos, trios, and quartets.
