Garden Tour to Benefit Unitarian Church of Barnstable: The Fornari Gardens

If you love abundant flowers and a large kitchen garden, you’ll enjoy walking this landscape created by Dan (a scientist) and C.L. (the author of eight gardening books). Walk through the cutting garden and trial beds up top. See the solar-heated seed-starting shed, and the rustic fence Dan built out of locust. Sit in the shade of the grape arbor, note the abundant use of containers around the house, and enjoy the perennial beds and vegetable garden. Ask about the magical stump plantings, the rain garden, and blueberry patch. See many hydrangeas (mostly labeled), an assortment of groundcovers, flowering perennials, and a wide selection of shrubs and trees. This garden is located on one of Cape Cod’s lovely lakes. 

The proceeds from the garden tour will benefit the Unitarian Church of Barnstable. Admission:$5 per garden. Rain or Shine.
