    The Big Blue Conference is the Cape Cod Blue Economy Foundation's annual conference curated to spark conversations and inspire actions relevant to the vitality of Cape Cod and the surrounding Blue Economy

    Throughout the two days, our speakers will pre­sent on legislative action, emerging industries in renewable energy, aquaculture, preservation, re­gional economics, and more. Attendees can also expect to have conversations with regional edu­cators, organizers, marine-life specialists, and art­ists. 
    Presenters and attendees are community leaders, industry professionals, global experts and advo­cates as well as Cape Cod marine businesses and workers. Cape Cod college and high school stu­dents may attend as sponsored tickets are availa­ble.  Food and drink provided. There will be oysters!

    Day 1-April 30 10am to 4pm
    Buckle up! Cape Cod Gateway Airport will take us on their journey of building a microgrid for the airport. Eversource, MassDOT, and renewable energy providers will take the stage to share their role in this BIG project. Leaders in electrification of transportation light the way for using clean en­ergy to move us into the future.

    Speaking of the future, watch as local high school student robotics teams battle for the title of Best Bots at Big Blue!
    No ticket required, Open to the public.

    Day 2-May 1 8am to 2pm
    Our collective impacts on coastal ecology and structure come to the surface today. Experts from IFAW's Dolphin Rescue Center, New England Aquarium, and Cape Cod Commercial Fishermen's Alliance describe what it's like to work with Marine Life in a changing climate. Climate impacts you too. Local and National leaders in coastal construction and coastal community economic development delve into the depths of protecting the unique spaces where land meets the sea.
