Wednesday, April 19, at 7:30pm.  George Winston is undeniably a household name. He’s inspired fans and musicians alike with his singular solo acoustic piano songs for more than 40 years while selling 15 million albums. A tireless road warrior, live performance for Winston is akin to breathing. Winston’s music is evocative, offering us all a chance to take a step back from our perpetually busy lives and let our minds adventurously wander. His latest album, “NIGHT,” is where things truly come alive for Winston. Whether on a performance stage, in a midnight recording session, practicing late at night, driving solo through urban city spaces, or witnessing nature grow under the moonlight, Winston celebrates his renowned 50-year career with this interstellar new recording. George Winston’s classic albums, Autumn and December, are perennial favorites, along with Winter into Spring, Summer, 2017’s Spring Carousel – A Cancer Research Benefit, as well as two volumes of the compositions of Vince Guaraldi, two volumes of benefit albums for the Gulf Coast disasters, and six other solo piano albums. He recently released his 16th solo piano album, NIGHT, via Dancing Cat Records/RCA Records. Don’t miss the chance to hear him in the Cultural Center’s acoustically stellar Constantinidis Great Hall on our extraordinary Steinway piano. Tickets are $55/ $45 for members. Doors will not open until Mr. Winston has concluded his rehearsal and the piano has been tuned to his satisfaction, but guests who arrive early may wait in the Education Wing Creative Art Space. All of Mr. Winston’s concerts are benefits, mostly for local food banks. Merchandise donated by Mr. Winston will be available for purchase at the concerts. 100% of the proceeds will be donated to the Yarmouth Food Pantry. We also encourage guests to bring items of non-perishable food to donate to the Pantry. Visit the Cultural Center’s website for information on their COVID policy. Tickets at or by calling 508-394-7100. Cultural Center of Cape Cod, 307 Old Main St., South Yarmouth.
