Amy Rader: A New Chapter

September 1 to 30 in the Sigel Gallery at the Falmouth Art Center.

Amy Rader has worked as a well-known professional photographer locally for many years. Beginning as a teenager, she also dabbled in painting, working from her scenic photographs, and will be featuring this new medium in her show in the Sigel Gallery at Falmouth Art Center this September. She enjoys painting lighthouses, shacks, sheds and coastal cottages and creates her impressionistic scenes using palette knives and/or brushes. She has studied painting under Dan Hanagan, Linda Walker, Diana Lee, Pete Hocking and Mary Giammarino. This show is the culmination of the past 10 years of painting.
