You are cordially invited to a "Star Party," to be held at The Cobb Astro Park & David Cole Observatory on Wednesday, December 8th from 4:30 to 6:30pm. The Osterville Village Library, working in collaboration with Barnstable High School is pleased to be able to offer this opportunity to further explore celestial wonders above with the aid of the Cobb Astro Park's powerful 14 inch Celestron Telescope and special camera. The professional grade equipment affords a glimpse of heavenly bodies outside our own solar system, an opportunity not to be missed. The Osterville Village Library, seeking to expand on it's summer astronomy series at Dowse's Beach due to popular demand, is honored to be working with Barnstable High School teacher Kirby Smith and his team of student leaders. Those in attendance  will be treated to spectacular views, and will have the opportunity to ask questions. The December night sky will delight, as you enjoy coffee and hot chocolate.  The Cobb Astro Park & David Cole Observatory are located at Barnstable High School, 744 West Main St, Hyannis.  Pre registration is suggested. For more information, visit ostervillevillagelibrary.org, or call 508 428 5757.  In case of inclement weather, the event will be held on Thursday, December 9th from 4:30 to 6:30pm.
