Todd and Ariela Harris - 2260 Main Street, Barnstable
Tour benefitting Cape Cod Synagogue Ukraine Relief Fund
The garden at the office of Todd Harris DMD and Neil Ringler DDS was created by Master Gardener Sheila Sylvia. Jan Towne has added her personal touch. This sunny hillside garden is home to birds and butterflies.  The colors of plant materials change from blue and purple in spring to hot orange and red later in summer. There is a surprise around each corner of the space. Patients coming and going appreciate the soothing, meditative quality of this happy environment. The intent of the garden was for the staff and patients to enjoy. It is wonderful to stop and admire the latest blooms. We appreciate that this helps our patients with setting a tone for the rest of their visit. Directions: From Exit 68 (old exit 6) on mid-Cape highway, go north on 132 to Route 6A. Turn right on 6A (Main Street) toward Barnstable Village and 2260 Main will be on your left. If you reach the railroad overpass, you’ve gone too far. Coming from Barnstable Village it will be on the right past the railroad overpass and BWB Elementary School.

Donelle’s Seaside Garden - 560 Dyer Prince Rd., Eastham
Tour benefitting Master Gardener Association of Cape Cod

Tip Talk Topic: Donelle will offer talks at 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM on garden water features. Come see what a Master Gardener can accomplish in 3 growing seasons!  Starting with a totally wooded lot, Donelle and her husband moved into their newly built home in June 2018.  Donelle designed her gardens from a totally bare slate!  In three years, she has designed what she thinks of as ‘garden rooms.’  One ‘room’ is a small fruit free orchard surrounded by beds of hosta, hydrangeas, dogwoods and perennials with an arbor with a bench for sitting and reading.  A water feature is the star attraction of the ‘room’ with one of the oldest oak trees in Eastham and an extensive perennial garden.  Another ‘room’ is a memory garden with graceful white cast iron seating, evergreens, Japanese maples, azaleas, ornamental grasses and blueberry and raspberry bushes.  A vegetable garden ‘room’ features a large, raised bed planter as well as in ground tomatoes, eggplant, garlic, rhubarb, asparagus and other tasty delights.  Walking through a second arbor, you come to the last ‘room’ which features a gazebo, ornamental grasses, daylilies, kwanzan cherry trees and dogwoods.  Set against a backdrop of Rock Harbor marsh in the front and Cape Cod Bay in the back, this garden is sure to offer something for everyone.
