Cape Cod Wedding Venue: Cape Cod Maritime Museum

Looking for the perfect place for your quintessential Cape Cod wedding, rehearsal dinner or special event?  Then add the Cape Cod Maritime Museum to your list!  I have had the pleasure of touring this space as well as attend an outdoor reception there last summer, and it is such a beautiful and unique location!

The Maritime Museum can host your event of up to 300 people with picturesque views of Hyannis Harbor.  For smaller events, the Boat Shed is a great location that can hold up to 56 people, or it could be used for other aspects of your event such as a separate place for meal service, a dance floor, or separate visiting area during the event.

Behind the building is a large patio area, which can be covered with a tent or left open, depending on the event and the time of year. When covered, 150 people can be seated under the tent, including space for a dance floor and DJ. The patio also includes a “tug boat,” which has been used as the bar for many events and adds a fun element to the space

The Museum is available for events any day of the week after 4 p.m. and only hosts one event at a time, which means you get the whole place to yourself!  In order to host an event at the Museum, you must become a member.  The plus side is you then have all the benefits of museum membership for a year after the event!

If you have vendors you have already selected or ones you want to work with, the Museum allows you to bring in your own caterer, florist, DJ, etc. as long as they have the appropriate documentation, such as insurance, serv-safe, etc.  Most vendors on the Cape will meet these requirements without any issues.
