JFK Hyannis Museum

The sea and shores of Hyannis Port inspired our 35th President like no other place on earth.

It was here that he contemplated and accepted his run for office.  It was here that he reconnected with his humanity, and it is here, at the JFK Hyannis Museum that you can discover why he loved this place so, and how he spent his time on Cape Cod.

Our museum captures the years JFK spent at the family compound in Hyannis Port—his time with family and friends, and with national and international persons of prominence.

There are four main photographic exhibits available continually.  In addition, we present special revolving exhibits on loan from the JFK Library in Boston.  Walter Cronkite hosts our video gallery, where you will witness his moments of joy, solitude, triumphs and challenges when on the Cape.

There is no better way to discover the Cape Cod life of John Fitzgerald Kennedy than by visiting the JFK Hyannis Museum. Sure, you can drive to Hyannis Port to ‘see for yourself’. Or you can take a harbor cruise out to the Hyannis Port breakwater and see the compound from afar…

But here, at the JFK Hyannis Museum you will experience all the dimensions of his life on Cape Cod as it was.  Up close and personal.

Come spend some time with us, so you, too, can learn why he was so drawn to Cape Cod.

We are open year round and welcome individuals, families, tour and school groups  to our museum just a few steps from the Village Green on Main Street in Downtown Hyannis.
