Business owners on the Cape are no strangers to environmental issues. They live in one of the most beautiful and protected environments in our region. Keeping it that way has always been a priority, but there are also economic benefits when you add environmental responsibility to your business plan. Going “green” helps to reduce costs, increase their competitive advantage and open new marketing opportunities, while protecting the Cape’s natural environment.
Cape & Islands Green in partnership with the Cape Cod Chamber of Commerce, the Cape Cod Community Development Parnership and local chambers of commerce to offer verification workshops for businesses of all sizes that want to preserve the enviroment, save money and receive the marketing power of this green destination program.
The Cape & Islands Green program is available on the Upper Cape through the Cape Cod Chamber of Commerce as a one-time informational workshop focussed on achieveing verification, and on the Lower Cape through the Community Development Partnership as a comprehensive 3 part workshop series that has conservation, energy efficiency and renewable resource components. In order to receive your verification and your Cape & Islands marketing materials you must complete the Cape & Islands Green Workshop in either location and comply with the verification worksheet.
The marketing deadline for inclusion in the Cape Cod Travel Guide is at the end of December to allow time for publishing deadlines. You must complete your verification by December 1, 2011 to be included in this opportunity.
